About Max Security USA
Max Security USA provides integrated security solutions for commercial properties, residential communities, HOAs, and industrial facilities.
Our work includes automatic gate systems, access control, video surveillance, remote guarding, and perimeter security solutions.
Position Overview
Max Security USA is seeking an experienced Access Control / Security Systems Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain automatic gate systems, access control equipment, surveillance cameras, and related low-voltage security systems.
Automatic gate troubleshooting and repair experience is highly preferred.
We are especially interested in technicians who have worked with gate operators, barrier arms, slide gates, swing gates, vehicle detection systems, and access control equipment.
This is a hands-on field position for someone who is comfortable diagnosing equipment failures, tracing wiring, testing components, and completing repairs — not just performing new installations or pulling cable.
Candidates with strong access control, security systems, electrical, or low-voltage troubleshooting experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair automatic gates, gate operators, and barrier arms
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, wiring, sensor, safety-device, loop, and control-board issues
• Troubleshoot existing systems and identify the root cause of equipment failures
• Install and service vehicle and pedestrian access control systems
• Install card readers, keypads, intercoms, maglocks, electric strikes, and related access control equipment
• Install and service IP and analog surveillance camera systems
• Pull, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, coax, control wiring, and other low-voltage cabling
• Install and connect gate control panels, loops, photo eyes, safety edges, vehicle detection equipment, readers, and keypads
• Configure, program, test, and commission systems
• Read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and site plans
• Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, equipment replacements, and system upgrades
• Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, vendors, and other technicians
• Complete work orders and service documentation accurately
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in access control, security systems, low-voltage, gate automation, electrical service, or a related field
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with access control systems and low-voltage wiring
• Understanding of relays, sensors, control circuits, and electrical terminations
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems independently in the field
• Ability to use a multimeter, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer documentation
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work outdoors and use ladders or lifts when required
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
Highly Preferred Experience
• Hands-on experience installing, servicing, or repairing automatic gates and gate operators
• Experience with barrier arms, slide gates, swing gates, or automated vehicle-entry systems
• Experience with LiftMaster, DoorKing, HySecurity, FAAC, Nice, or similar gate operator systems
• Experience troubleshooting loops, photo eyes, safety edges, vehicle detectors, relays, and operator control boards
• Experience working with gated communities, HOAs, commercial properties, or industrial facilities
• Experience independently diagnosing gate-related failures
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with access control platforms and card-reader systems
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, PoE switches, and network troubleshooting
• Experience with Axis, Hikvision, HID, or similar security manufacturers
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
• Customer-facing field service experience
• Experience leading installations or supervising technicians
What We Offer
• $25–$38 per hour based on experience
• Higher compensation potential for experienced gate technicians and lead-level candidates
• Steady, year-round work
• Overtime opportunities
• Company vehicle for qualified technicians
• Tools and equipment provided
• Growth and advancement opportunities
• Exposure to a wide variety of gate, access control, surveillance, and perimeter security systems
• Professional, team-oriented work environment
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a technician who can do more than simply install equipment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable arriving at a site where a gate, access control system, or security device is not working and systematically figuring out why.
That may include tracing wiring, checking voltage, testing safety devices, diagnosing relays or sensors, troubleshooting an operator or control board, identifying mechanical issues, and completing the repair professionally.
Direct automatic gate experience is strongly preferred, but we also want to hear from experienced access control, security, electrical, and low-voltage technicians with strong troubleshooting skills who are interested in expanding into gate systems.
If you have hands-on experience troubleshooting security, access control, or automatic gate systems, we encourage you to apply.
