Emergency Dispatcher - Huntington, NY

Starting salary for this position: $18- $20

Maximum Security is looking for experienced emergency dispatchers to play an integral role in our growing command center in Huntington, NY. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operating and monitoring all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Centre in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures and best practice of the company.
•  Recording all events, incidents and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written format.
• Report equipment failure to the relevant personnel.
• Providing efficient and courteous radio and telephone answering service and dealing efficiently with all enquiries.
• Responding to and/or sending emails.
• Liaising with the security agencies and members of staff to ensure the appropriate use of the CCTV.

To be qualified for this role you should be able to:

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communicate clearly and concisely during emergency and nonemergency situations.
• Ability to multitask with different events happening at the same time.
• Proficiently operate a computer and phone simultaneously.
• Work under stress and remain calm during rapidly changing circumstances.
• Relay information in a fast-paced environment.
